Confessions of a Former Band Geek & Nintendo Nerd

Hello fellow band geeks-in-hiding. The following video will make you proud. Oh, wait... you're not willing to admit you played the clarinet in band? (Don't worry, I wouldn't admit that either.) For the rest of you, you'll appreciate this if you've ever played video games, esp. Mario Bros & Tetris.

How rude! I know you're making the direct reference just to bait me and get me to admit that I was a clarinetist in the marching band. You forget that for two of the years that I was at BYU I would have to walk from my apartment to the practice area while holding my clarinet and dressed in the full marching band uniform. Admitting it on your blog is small peanuts compared to that. Besides, you have to be pretty comfortable with your nerdiness if you're going to be a male clarinetist.

I don't know what you're talking about. ;)

That was quite awesome! You didn't mention that they also did Zelda, which was such a great game! Unfortunately, it's Cal, so we can't like it too much!

You said it Kami, ANYONE can resort to copying video game music. I've seen that crap a thousands times before. And the only marching band worse than CAL is Stanford's!

oh whatver jimberley. quite hating. stanford's band is fresh, fun, original, and so much better than the traditional coat and cap wearing marching band.
every time the stanford band is about to perform, people sit on their edge of their seats excited, wondering what they're gonna do. they keep you on your toes. plus, they are better sounding. certainly better than USC's lame trojan band.

and i totally played clarinet in the band. although for marching band i was a flag twirler! go colorguard.
